Here’s their top eight tips to help ensure that your wedding planning will be a smooth-flowing affair.
1. What’s trending: Florals and Pastels are in
If you’re sussing out the wedding trends for 2017, here’s a heads up: pastels and florals are in. Soft, delicate hues of pinks, blues, yellows and purples will dominate wedding setups, along with intricate floral decorations. But you won’t have to fret over the details; leave it all to your wedding specialist and florist!

2. A wedding dinner isn’t always the best option
Florals and pastels aren’t the only themes that are trending among brides and grooms. More and more couples are celebrating their special day with wedding lunches, rather than hosting a dinner — with parents being increasingly receptive to this notion too.
There are several advantages in doing so: you’ll enjoy a better rest (rather than hosting a dinner late into the night), you won’t need to cater for lunch at an external venue (if you’re holding your wedding ceremony at the church) and you’ll have more time to rest and prepare for your after-party.

What made this wedding special — apart from its elaborate decor — was the highly enjoyable process of working with the couple. In addition to the usual planning processes, the wedding specialist also coordinated a rehearsal for a dance performance featuring the bride and groom, along with 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen.
4. The Devil lies in the details
Often, the smallest of details can cause a major hiccup when overlooked. Let’s take planning your guest list as an example. This single element is affected by multiple factors; you’ll need to ensure that the guest list tallies with the floor plan, make precise plans for seating arrangements, skip out inauspicious table numbers (four, 14 and 24) and check that all guests at a table are seated comfortably (especially when additional guests turn up unexpectedly).

My husband has stayed at St Regis numerous times for work and recently insisted that I join him for a couple of days to see for myself what a beautiful oasis it is in bustling Singapore. Our two day stay could not have been better. From a much appreciated suite upgrade to a personal welcome by Billy the manager our stay started well and continued with this high standard.
We were fortunate that we had just missed a delegation including our Australian Prime Minister who departed the day before our arrival. Understandably it would have been difficult to obtain a suite upgrade when competing with that cohort. Things had settled down by the time we arrived and our stay went smoothly.
We arrived at 7pm just as the complimentary drinks and snacks for Platinum guests had closed, but that was no obstacle for the wonderful Billy who called the restaurant and ensured we had a few welcome drinks of Prosecco.
Complimentary breakfast each morning was served in an opulent room. It had a generous selection from the buffet and a la carte. One small issue is that the milk in the cappuccino was long life. It detracted from the coffee. Assume no fresh milk is available?
The hotel is not in the heart of down town but had plenty of shopping nearby for those who are interested, It was a short and inexpensive cab ride to the thick of things so don't let the location detract you.
We appreciated a late check out and were happy to see Billy again when we were leaving. He personally made sure our entire stay was first class - from the minute we arrived to our reluctant departure. Billy and his team are to be commended.
